Mule chests are commonly associated with Amish woodworking, but this wasn’t always the case. This style of dresser is said to have taken root in Europe during the 17th and 18th Centuries before migrating over to Colonial American homes in which closets were sparse.
Today, Amish-crafted mule chests lend themselves to a variety of storage needs, whether it be to accommodate clothes, extra blankets and pillows, or even living room odds and ends. Below, we list some of our favorite mule chest dressers, all individually crafted using your choice of North American Hardwood.
