Overview
Amish Bed with True Dovetail Joinery
Traditional joinery becomes a defining design element of the Gluckstadt Bed. True dovetail joints are used throughout the design, creating distinctive connections between the substantial posts, broad horizontal rails, and lower framing. Rather than concealing its construction, this bed celebrates the precision and character of time-honored woodworking.Inset horizontal wood panels fill both the headboard and footboard, adding depth and visual rhythm while allowing the natural grain of the hardwood to remain prominent. A tall, commanding headboard gives the bed an impressive presence, while the coordinating footboard carries the same paneled construction and dovetail detailing for a cohesive look from every angle. Handcrafted to order by Amish artisans, the Gluckstadt Bed is available in your choice of domestic hardwood, stain, and finish. Choose a single wood and finish for a unified appearance, or create a two-tone combination to emphasize the bed's joinery and contrasting structural details.

I love this furniture.
Awesome bed frame!
We bought the king size bed frame as an upgrade from a previous queen sized IKEA bed frame and wanted to match the frame to a hardwood dresser and night table that I already owned, but the previous company had gone out of business years ago. Countryside Amish was very accommodating and let us order more wood samples than usual so that we could try and match the wood type and stain to my current furniture. We ended up finding a near-perfect match and ordered the bed and one matching night table and a chest of drawers for my husband. The workmanship is lovely, the bed frame feels incredibly sturdy, and all the drawers are soft-close and smooth inside so you can put bed linens in them without snagging! We're very happy with this purchase.
Beautiful bed
The bed is out of this world! It's beautiful and solid wood. We love it!
Great Purchase
I already owned an Amish-made bookcase, so when I started my search for a new bed, I started with Amish-made bed frame. That's how I found this site. It took several months for the bed to be made, and it was worth the wait: outstanding craftsmanship, beautiful coloring and design, and wood that is the best I've ever owned. This is the last bed I'll ever need to buy. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I also want to add that I looked at other manufacturers, and none compared to what I purchased in terms of quality, price, customer service, and delivery/set-up.
Love this furniture
I got an entire bedroom set and I love them all. The chest of drawers is beautiful and well made. The details in the carving of wood and the construction are all perfect, and I especially love the soft close drawers. This will be a beloved piece of furniture for a very long time
We just received our Crofton Storage Bed, and couldn't be happier. I refuse to bring anything into my house that I don't absolutely love, and this bed definitely ticks that box. Mel and the entire staff were extremely helpful, working with us to match the stain color with our other bedroom furniture and allowing us to make a change to the bed legs. It was an excellent experience from start to finish, and this is a well-made, great-attention-to-detail, outstanding-quality piece of furniture.
Gorgeous!
We love our new Calhoun Panel Bed and matching nightstands and chest of drawers. Worth the wait and the money.
Custom Panel Beds
Dear Lauren, We just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated your extra effort in getting our XL twin beds completed and shipped to us via Daniel Miller which also went beyond the call of duty. The beds fit perfectly over the automatic beds! They are stunning! The stain matches the rest of our furniture as if they were a set! They are beautiful and so worth the wait. Thank you again for all of your help.
